AJ takes a values-based and mindfulness approach to help clients navigate challenges, enact positive change, and achieve personal goals.

B.A. in Psychology (Skidmore College) New York

Masters degree – MSocSc in Counselling (University of Hong Kong) Hong Kong (in progress)

Born in the U.S. and now based in Hong Kong, AJ understands firsthand the emotional and psychological challenges of adapting to new environments. Having spent his early years in mental health researching stigma and ways of individualizing interventions, he brings a well-rounded perspective to wellbeing.

Trained by Mind HK to deliver a low-intensity guided self help intervention in English, AJ draws on his lived experiences to provide a safe space for clients to reconnect with their values and work with them to create new ways of overcoming challenges and hardships. He specializes in supporting adults experiencing mild to moderate depression and anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges.

Additionally, his work in the nonprofit sector doing health outreach gives him a strong insight into issues that affect wellbeing, such as work-life balance, stress, and interpersonal relationships. In addition to being a Wellbeing Practitioner, AJ is pursuing his Master’s degree in Counselling at the University of Hong Kong.
